Ms Kate Cushnahan BA Child and Youth Studies
PGDip Psychotherapy & Hypnotherapy
Kate lives in Belfast with her partner Eamon and very lively cocker spaniel Joe. Her background is in business administration and the care sector (mental health and learning disability). She spent ten years living and studying in Scotland. It was while studying child development as part of her degree that she gained a keen interest in adoption, in particular the complex relationship between adoption and identity.
When she returned to Belfast in 2004, Kate was invited to join Adopt NI’s Board of Directors and was appointed Company Secretary, a role she still holds. Early in 2007, Kate resigned from the Board to apply for the role of Regional Manager. She was successful and was appointed on 2nd April 2007.
